Children of the Moon
Fianna is a world dived into city-states, or ‘ruaths’, each ruled by and consecrated to its own particular god. These ruaths make up a fragmented geopolitical realm, with theocracies at the heart of government, and citizens and gods alike vying to elevate the wealth and glory of their own ruath. There is little cooperation between the ruaths, and each operates as its own nation, with a particular religion, set of cultural practices, morals, and laws. Over eons, an uneasy balance had been struck, with some ruaths being more powerful by virtue of natural resources, or military strength than others, but with little outright war. But in the past 90 years, this balance has faltered. Now the ruaths, and gods, of Fianna are moving towards a fight to the death.
One such ruath is Shadowmoon, the ruath of Sehanine.
